Awesome Art in Autumn Gardens Arts & Cultural Festival will be held in the lavish Gardens at Houmas House Plantation October 11 & 12, 2008 from 10am - 4pm. There you will find a lively Louisiana Festival with artists, musicians, singers and dancers sprinkled throughout the historical gardens. Every turn of the path throughout the 12 acres of lush gardens will be peppered with Spicy Louisiana Arts & Crafts.



In addition, the Awesome Art in Autumn Gardens Show & Sale will display over 300 works of art of both Youth and Adults in competition for the famed blue ribbons.

Award winning Chef Jeremy Langlois will offer a delicious Arts Fest Buffet in the dining room accompanied by the smooth sounds of Jazz. The Turtle Bar will offer mint juleps and other cool refreshments.




Louisiana art, culture, and history all come together for this two day Louisiana Extravaganza. Louisiana literay artists will offer booksignings, Native Americans will display their dancing and culture, the Cajuns will be represented with music and folk art, and the Civil War era will be featured with Vintage dancers, actors & artifacts.



Guided tours of the mansion will be available.

Entry fee to the Gardens for this Awesome event is $10.
