Houmas House offers tours at Night Time on Wednesday through Sunday.

Houmas House Plantation and Gardens is open on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Closed only on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Visitors to Houmas House are considered guests, not tourists, and the experience is like visiting a friend's home.

To begin, every visitor receives a pair of souvenir beads with a commemorative Houmas House medallion.

Our specially trained tour guides enjoy their subject and their guests. They are more than happy to answer questions or engage requests for more information. The plantation is staffed with plenty of guides to keep groups small and the presentation tailored to what is most interesting to guests.
